What motivations you?
What do you want?
What makes you truly happy?
What can get you out of bed each day?
What can get you to exercise, even stretch?
Why do you surf the internet?
Where do you want to go?
What do you want to do?
How do you talk to yourself?
Do you try and escape the world or do you face it?
I was an escapee for part of my life. Years ago I started making the slow and agonizing journey to be someone who faced and embraced the world. It is rare, but some people can change overnight. Most people I find change over time. We have to change thought patterns, belief systems, and behaviors we have learned. then inhibit everything we do and it takes time to let go of them.
I used to be a slow starter. Now I am a medium starter.
It all started years ago when I made a goal. It was no simple goal, though it will sound simple. I had no idea how I would develop a plan to get to this goal.
I just wanted to be happy. My goal was to become and find HAPPY.
I had no idea what that meant to me, but I started working on it.
I searched out people I could trust and surrounded myself with them. I created a substitute family in a sense, since mine would never help me get to where I wanted to go.
Later I targeted school in places where I wanted to be, doing things I wanted to do.
For my career, I chose to do what I actually had a passion to do, even though that is not what I had a degree.
Then I worked to be in the cities I wanted to be in, all the while discovering what I really wanted.
I defiantly have made some mistakes, but I accept them as learning experiences.
Along the way I have found the internet and blogging and online supportive communities and motivational/inspiring people.
Every morning I will use Tumblr to find a few motivational quotes and/or photos to fire me up.
Each day I will look to do something that improves me and pushes me forward.
I listen to those I trust, even if they disagree with me, to push my point of view.
I love life. I love the smell of the morning air, the sun on my face, the breeze on my cheek, etc.
Have a goal, find daily inspiration/motivation, and start developing a plan to get you to where you want to be in life.
