“If you want to get better, you have to find out what you’re avoiding and what you’re afraid of. Maybe what you’re disgusted by. You have to expose yourself to that voluntarily, and you have to let that change you. It’s not a pleasant process. It’s a voluntary confrontation of things that make up life’s horrors.”

Yoga Props! We have all seen them, but do we really know how to incorporate them into our practice? One of my favorites for increasing balance challenges and strength is the block! Blocks are fun props because there are many variations and creative options to help you keep your practice fresh. Below are four more easy ways to up your practice with the aid of the yoga block!
Challenge your balancing poses by standing on a block instead of the floor.
Put the block between your thighs to activate your core in your Sun Salutations.
Balance a block on the crown of your head in your Standing Poses and Balancing Poses.
Come into Horse Stance or Goddess Pose and place blocks on your thighs and make sure they don’t fall off.
